 50 / 60 / 400 hz Transformers
50 / 60 / 400 hertz transformers are manufactured to handle the three most common incoming voltage frequencies of the same strength. 50 hertz is the frequency used in most European countries, while most of North America uses 60 hertz. The 400 hertz frequency is used in high powered applications.

High Frequency Transformers

High Voltage Transformers
Our high voltage transformers, and self supporting high voltage transformers, allow the safe and accurate step up of voltages to 15,000 volts. Instrument Transformers
Instrument transformers are designed and built to change the line voltage to whatever needs the customer has for control voltages, with high performance and reliability. Because of their high efficiency, instrument transformers can be manufactured in a range of sizes, from broad mount capabilities to compact sizes for limited space applications. |
Single Phase Transformers
Single phase transformers offer excellent capabilities for auto transformers, industrial controls, isolation, low voltage, step up, and step down applications. They are also used extensively for lighting and heating applications. Single phase transformers may be used in conjunction with three phase transformers but they don’t handle large power loads as effectively as their three phase counterparts. |

Step Down Transformers
Step down transformers are used in a broad range of applications to allow lower than line voltages to be used. Step down transformers decrease incoming voltage from the power source. |
Step Up Transformers
Step up transformers are widely used in many power applications. If incoming power supply voltage must be increased to accommodate a component or piece of machinery, then a step up transformer is the solution. |

Three Phase Transformers
Three phase transformers are used primarily in three phase power distribution systems to allow a step up or a step down of voltages. Regional Mfg. Specialists’ three phase transformers offer the most cost effective solution in these applications. There are several advantages to using three phase transformers rather than bundling single phase transformers together for applications involving three phase power distributions. Three phase transformers use less material and therefore weigh less and are generally smaller than single phase bundles. |
Toroidal Transformers
Our team of professionals has extensive experience designing and manufacturing toroidal transformers for a broad range of uses including audio, lighting, power, and medical applications. Our toroidal transformers can handle wattage ratings from less than10VA to over 750VA. All of Regional Mfg. Specialists’ toroidal transformers are computer modeled with RMS' proprietary software that allows electrical specifications to be made variable for each customer's specifications. |

RMS has the capacity to design and manufacture transformers for any frequency range, for any input/output voltage with any tap placement, for one or multiple outputs, for intricate configurations, for any phase or phase conversion, for phase shifts between inputs and outputs, and for specific phase shifts.
All of Regional Mfg. Specialists’ transformers are computer modeled with RMS' proprietary software that allows electrical specifications to be made variable for each customer's specifications. As part of our attention to customer service and satisfaction, the technicians at Regional Mfg. Specialists computer test 100% of the transformers we manufacture. Additionally, full lot data is supplied with each packing slip if required, at a nominal charge. Mechanical aspects are measured with electronic gauges that include automatic uploading into SPC software.
Transformers designed and manufactured by RMS are built to UL / CUL / VDE and CE, with UL and CUL markings. Regional Mfg. Specialists is an ISO 9001 compliant manufacturer, with future plans of acquiring ISO registration by the end of 2007.
