Our high frequency coils are designed and manufactured to provide minimum loss. Regional Mfg. Specialists offers a wide range of high frequency coils including film wound, universal wound, or wire wound construction. We also offer a range of inductance tolerances and values.

When your application supports limited space availability, RMS also offers self supporting coils that do not require a bobbin. Self supporting coils are an excellent solution to increasing the applications magnetic capabilities. Due to the nature of self supporting coils, the winding is as close to the metal as possible, hence, magnetic capacity is increased. Regional Mfg. Specialists manufactures self supporting coils with bondable magnet wire, or if required, coils can be varnish impregnated or encapsulated in various compounds.


Regional Mfg. Specialists also designs and manufactures Litz (short for Litzendraht) wire coils. Litz wire is an excellent solution to counteract resistive effects from eddy currents in high frequency applications. Litz wire coils are constructed from many very fine, insulated strands of wire. Each strand’s insulation prevents eddy currents from circulating through the combined wires cross section, thereby increasing efficiency.
